Using a purchased lampshade cut a piece of fabric that's 2 inches longer than the circumference of the widest point of the shade (in case your drum shade angles slightly). Using clothespins, start at the front of the shade and wrap the fabric around the shade.
Although I'm admittedly a chair addict, they're not my only obsession. I am a sucker for lamps, and after years of collecting lamps in every size, shape and color, I found myself with a lot of lamps and no shades.
Lampshades serve a bigger purpose than merely dimming the glare from the light bulb. For the creative decorator, they also provide a canvas for expressing personal style. Creating a shade all your own is a great way to make a striking...
When it comes to designing a nursery, I prefer to add touches of a theme rather than repeating a particular design element throughout the room over and over.
